    Chef Tate Roberts

    Chef Tate Roberts

At EBT, Roberts mixes rich heritage with a taste of rejuvenated modernism. Chef Roberts graduated from the Johnson County Community College Chef Program in 2002 and has established a name for himself as an innovative and distinguished traditionalist with classic French influence and a strong passion for Latin American food. “All food is an art form and its flavor extensions are as unique as each individual I know.” “Everything edible has an opportunity to be beautiful.” “I as a man am extremely emotional when it comes to food. Food and flavors come together for me very easily. There is much passion behind every item that leaves my hands. Being able to shave off a piece of my mind and present it to a customer is a very emotional part of my make-up. My number one goal is to convey this passion to every person who walks through my door, and most importantly to convey this passion to everyone I work around.” During a fundraising cooking demonstration for the Walk For ALS event in Kansas City, Chef Roberts stated the perfect motto when it comes to food: “Food wants to work with you, cooking doesn’t have to be hard. It is a gift, and a journey.”
